PepsiCo was the first delivery of the Tesla Semi electric truck, receiving its first shipment in December and the trucks are already on the road. But just a month after its delivery, the new car was found to have broken down in two cases
According to Elektrek, on January 1, 2023, a Tesla Semi with a white front broke down and was left stranded on a Nevada highway waiting for rescue. The vehicle had to wait from day to night until it was taken away by a trailer in the early evening.
Just four days later, on January 5, another Tesla Semi broke down. A Tesla Semi with Pepsi livery was parked on the side of a street in Sacramento, California, and was being towed away by a rescue vehicle.
It's worth noting that similar breakdowns were reported before the Tesla Semi was delivered. The crash occurred in October 2022, when the Tesla Semi got stuck on a highway on-ramp after a suspected breakdown.
IT Home learned that on December 2, 2022, Tesla held a delivery ceremony for its electric truck Semi at the Gigafactory in Nevada, the United States, and officially delivered its first mass-production version to PepsiCo. At the end of 2022, PepsiCo executives said they had deployed 36 Tesla electric trucks on the road.
